WHAT WE DO

THEATRE PRODUCTIONS

We write, create and produce ground-breaking, heart-thumping theatre and public artwork that “shakes hands with the world”. We explore the intricacies, commonalities and complications of living together now, exposing audiences to something new and provocative.

  • The Wish Tree

“All stories can be told, but only the ones that are listened to will live forever.” The Wish Tree is a storytelling performance directed by Elias Matar rooted in love, compassion and togetherness. It’s a revival of Good Chance’s Hope Shows, relaunched in 2025 in London, this time co-created with an extraordinary group of community members from displaced backgrounds in partnership with Migrants Organise.

  • A Grain of Sand

Written Good Chance’s Deputy Artistic Director Elias Matar, A Grain of Sand premiered at the London Palestine Film Festival in 2024, was performed to a sold-out audience at Liverpool Arab Arts Festival in July 2025, and embarks on a UK tour in Spring 2026. This one-woman show takes an intimate look at war through the eyes of a child, blending Palestinian folklore with real-life testimonies from children in contemporary Gaza.

  • Donbas

Donbas is the powerful and darkly funny debut by Ukrainian playwright Olga Braga. Winner of the 2025 Theatre503 International Playwriting Award, Donbas is a searing new play exploring how people keep living and dreaming, even in uncertain times. This Theatre503, Good Chance and 45North Production in association with Seventh Productions is showing at Theatre503 from 5 - 28 February 2026.

  • Kyoto

The creative team behind our universally-acclaimed play The Jungle reunite for this sharp, searing and darkly comic story placing you right at the heart of the historic 1997 Kyoto climate summit. Kyoto premiered at the RSC’s Swan Theatre in 2024, transferred to London’s West End @sohoplace in 2025, received Olivier Award nominations for Best New Play and Best Supporting Actor, and opens in New York’s Lincoln Center Theater in Nov 2025.

  • The Jungle

The Jungle, based in the Calais camp as experienced by Joe and Joe and the people they met there, has been a sell-out hit across the UK and US since 2017, sparking new conversations with more than 150,000 audience members about how we live together now.

  • Discretion

Discretion evokes the realities of a first and second generation Algerian family as they carve out a future for themselves in France, with extracts from Faïza Guène’s novel, live music and projection. Discretion premiered at Edinburgh International Book Festival in 2022 and toured France and Algeria in May 2024.
