Largo: Resources for Schools

Join our friends at Slick Films and Plan Nine Pictures on Friday 13th June 2025 for a screening of the powerful new short film Largo, followed by poetry workshop for KS2 students led by award-winning poet Dr. Inua Ellams, and a live Q&A.

This event supports schools in celebrating Refugee Week, exploring British values, and providing students a platform to express their own stories creatively with written outcomes.

About Largo

Largo is the story of Musa, a ten-year-old Syrian refugee who longs to reunite with his family and builds a boat to sail home. With powerful performances from Tamsin Greig, Kevin McNally and newcomer Zach Elsokari, Largo offers a story of resilience, belonging, and hope.

As part of A Day of Welcome and Refugee Week and aligned with the theme of British values, this event supports schools in nurturing empathy, celebrating diversity, and encouraging thoughtful civic participation.
