Iranian visual artist Majid Adin found the inspiration to draw again in the dome in Calais, and through the support of the Good Chance Ensemble, Majid won a competition to create the official music video for Elton John’s Rocket Man, brilliantly re-contextualising the lyrics as a refugee’s journey to Europe through his animation.
Venice Biennale 2019
A new exhibition at the Venice Biennale was announced by the UNHCR showcasing work by internationally acclaimed artists like Ai Wei Wei alongside five emerging artists from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast and Somalia who are also refugees. All artists are participating in the exhibition as part of a one-month residency in Venice funded by the UNHCR.

House of Illustration Exhibition
